Cold Sugarbowl and Diamond Peak
Uncle Josh stayed overnight in San Jose, so we hit the road at around 6:15AM. Hit a bit of traffic, and made a pitstop for breakfast, but still got to Sugar Bowl by 10AM. Parking lot at Judah wasn't too crowded for such a late arrival. Used the free Icer Air tickets from Snowbomb. Noah and I went wireless hunting for the Exwire network that was supposed to be available in the Judah Lodge, but even after finding a signal, couldn't get access. Luckily the Cingular signal was still good and I was able to check my e-mail and find out that my noon meeting (that I needed wireless for) had been cancelled.

Last trip of '04-'05 - North Shore via South Shore
Welp, we ended the season in a weird fashion. Stayed at Cedar Glen in Tahoe Vista (North Shore). But got there by way of Highway 50 -> 28. We rode at Sierra Saturday, and Sugar Bowl Sunday.

Saturday at Sierra
I hate Saturdays. Parking lots are crowded, lift lines are long, it's hard to find a seat for lunch.
Well, today disproved that. Mainly because Doug and I were able to drag our butts up at 5:30AM to leave from Sunnyvale, and got to Sierra at approximately 8:40AM. We parked in lot D, 20 cars down. Heck, it didn't even matter that at the end of the day I forgot where we parked. Doug spotted the car as soon as we started walking down the aisle. But I'm getting ahead of myself...

Powder Hunt
Whoa -- big storm. Let's do it! Uncle Josh came with us on this trip. Hrm, snow on the drive up. Watch that Explorer swerve out and barely recover right in front of our eyes. Yikes!
Tuesday at Sugar Bowl -- freshies all day. ($13 Super Lift Ticket from the Bay Area Ski and Snowboard Show). Minor faceshot in Graydon Glades. Woot! (Note, Josh got snow on his face the hard way, by falling in it. :-)
Biltmore -- Room 408 is a suite, and it's super posh. Robes! Hey, Noah helped pick 3 of 5 on the free scratcher (part of the Casino Fun Pack from the Sunny Day Guide) and Glady won $25! Woo! Just about covers the cost of eating at the Cafe Biltmore, what with all the discounts. (That Casino Fun Pack includes coupons for 2-for-1 entrees, $6.95 Prime Rib dinner, etc. And breakfasts are only $1.99 to begin with, free with every room reservation.)
Wednesday at Northstar -- season passes and a free Sun-Fri from KWT. Working on SOTC does have its perks.
